Dynode Technology is built by people who have stood on every side of an analytical instrument, the scientists who ran them, the OEM engineers who built and serviced them, and the team that now sources and rebuilds them.
That technical foundation comes from our founding partner, James Thompson. He started in mass-spectrometry-based proteomics at the Scripps Research Institute, where work in the John Yates laboratory earned him co-authorship on ten peer-reviewed papers, Nature and Cell among them. Years as an instrumentation and field-service engineer on leading LC-MS platforms followed: engineering Agilent systems inside a global pharma R&D program, then field service at AB SCIEX. He has since sold and serviced hundreds of instruments, and still leads regional field-service operations for chromatography and mass-spectrometry instrumentation.
Alongside him is a commercial team that has spent years placing high-value instruments with labs across the country. Which is why every system we offer is judged by people who have run it at the bench, built it for the manufacturer and repaired it in the field: identified by model number, verified against real performance, and priced on what it is genuinely worth.
An instrument is only as good as everything supplied with it. Our standard is what a working analyst would want to find on the pallet, complete, genuine, documented, and ready to run.
If a system wouldn't pass on our own bench, it doesn't ship. We would rather turn down a sale than send out an instrument that needs an apology.
Rebuilds use OEM-grade parts, new stainless capillaries and the right ferrules and seals, not whatever is in the drawer and closes the deal fastest.
Systems leave here with the modules, cabling, tubing, software and documentation needed to run on arrival, so a delivery doesn't turn into a parts hunt.
The people who answer your questions after delivery are the ones who serviced these platforms in the field. Support doesn't get handed to a call queue.
If a seller can't show test data, that's a red flag. We show ours.
The house rule, since 2012.Listing titles can be misleading in a way that model numbers cannot. Every instrument we list is identified, configured and priced directly from its nameplate.
If a seller can't show test data, that's a red flag. Ours ships with the instrument, ask for it on any listing.
We publish exact prices, and every instrument carries a 90-day parts and labor warranty, a 60-day return window and free shipping within the United States. All of it is confirmed in writing.
