Common questions

Who buys used lab equipment here?

Dynode Technology does. We purchase instruments outright or place them on consignment, and everything listed under Available now has been offered to us by a laboratory but has not yet entered our own inventory. Send us a model number and we will come back to you with a firm offer within two business days.

How do I enquire about something listed here?

Open the listing and use the enquiry link to tell us which instrument you are interested in. We will come back to you within two business days with its condition, any available test data and a delivered price. Nothing on this page is an auction, and there is no bidding involved.

How do I get an instrument listed?

Send us the model number together with a short description of the instrument and its condition. If it is something we are able to place, we will add it to the board and manage the buyer side on your behalf, including valuation, de-installation, crating and freight.

What does it cost to post?

There is no charge for listing an instrument and no account is required. Both listing something and telling us what you need are handled through the same two forms used everywhere else on this site.

How often is the board updated?

We update the board as enquiries reach us. Listings are marked as sold or filled once the instrument has been placed or the buyer has been matched, so what you are reading reflects current availability rather than an archive.
